The agreement between you and Sorrel House when you use this site or place an order.

1. Who you are dealing with

Throughout these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Sorrel House. By using sorrelhouse.com or placing an order, you accept these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to order. By ordering you confirm that the payment method is yours and that the information you give is accurate.

3. Products, dimensions and color

Every listing gives dimensions in inches and centimeters, the material and the weight where that information is available. Glazes, stone, wood and dried stems vary from piece to piece and screens render color differently: a reasonable variation between the photograph and the piece you receive is not a defect.

4. Care and safe use

Our vases, bowls, trays and catchalls are decorative objects. They are not intended to hold food or drink.
Do not put any piece in a dishwasher, a microwave or an oven. Clean by hand with a soft damp cloth.
Some vases are not watertight, and the listing says so. Use a glass liner for fresh flowers in those.
Never leave a lit candle unattended. Keep candles away from dried stems, curtains and anything that can catch fire, and place candle holders on a heat-resistant surface.
Dried and preserved stems are flammable and not edible. Keep them away from flames, children and pets.
Glass and ceramic break when dropped. Handle a chipped or cracked piece with care and stop using it.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax, which is calculated at checkout from your delivery address. The price that applies is the one displayed when you pay. Payment is taken when you order. If an item is listed at an obviously wrong price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, after contacting you.

6. Orders and stock

Your order is an offer to buy, and the contract is formed when we send the dispatch confirmation. We may refuse or cancel an order in case of suspected fraud, an address we cannot serve, a pricing error or stock we cannot honor, and we refund in full when we do. If a piece becomes unavailable after you order, we contact you within one business day with a replacement or a full refund.

7. Intellectual property

The Sorrel House name, wordmark and vase mark, the site design, the photography and the written content belong to Sorrel House and are protected. You may not reproduce or use them commercially without written permission.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site to break any law, to attempt unauthorized access to our systems, to scrape it at a rate that degrades service for others, or to submit unlawful or misleading content.

9. Reviews

If you submit a review or a photograph, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it in connection with the brand, and you confirm it is yours and truthful. We publish only genuine reviews from verified customers, we do not pay for reviews and we do not remove a review because it is negative.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to an order is limited to the amount paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Third parties

This store is hosted by Shopify Inc., 151 O'Connor Street, Ground floor, Ottawa, ON K2P 2L8, Canada. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and the other methods offered at checkout, each under its own terms and privacy policy.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published on sorrelhouse.com when you order. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, and disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
