Sorrel House sells vases, bowls, trays and candle holders, and the stems to fill them. This page says how the pieces are chosen, how they travel and how they are described.
The pieces
Chosen for how they look on a table.
Ceramic, glass, metal and wood, in shapes that stay calm on a shelf. A bowl sits on a table every day of the year, so it has to hold up next to whatever is already there.
We do not make these objects, and we do not claim to. We choose them from suppliers who produce them in quantity, and we choose fewer than we could. What the house adds is the choice, the stems that go in them, and a plain description of each one.
The box
Double boxed. If it arrives broken, we send another.
Ceramic and glass travel a long way before they reach a table. Every fragile piece ships double boxed: wrapped and blocked in an inner box, inside a second carton.
If a piece still arrives broken, send us a photo of the piece and of the outer box within 14 days of delivery. We ship a replacement at no cost, or refund it if you prefer. You do not need to send the broken piece back.
The figures
Every piece listed in inches and centimeters.
The first question about a vase is always how big is it. So every listing gives the dimensions in inches and in centimeters, the material and the weight, above the fold, next to a photo of the piece at scale.
Those figures come from the supplier's own specifications. When a supplier has not given one, the line is left off the page. We do not estimate it and we do not round it up. There are no invented reviews on this site and no counters of people looking at a piece.
The capsules
A new capsule every season. Nothing else.
Four times a year the house adds a small capsule: a few pieces and one color, chosen for the season they arrive in. Bowls and warm glazes in autumn, candle holders and trays for the table in winter, bud vases and stems in spring, glass and tall vases in summer.
Nothing else changes. The collections stay, the sizes stay, and a piece you bought last year still has its place.
A vase on its own is half an object.
